The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested nine terrorists of a banned outfit on Sunday and recovered arms and hand grenades from their possession.
Incharge CTD Khurram Waris said that reacting to a tip-off regarding presence of militants, crackdowns were launched against anti-state elements in SITE, Korangi and surrounding areas in Karachi. He said during the operation the CTD arrested nine terrorists belonging to a defunct organisation. Weapons and hand grenades were also recovered from the possession of detainees. The nabbed terrorists have been shifted to an undisclosed destination for further interrogation.
