Education Secretary Fazalullah Pechuho was astonished to find 231 teachers posted in Government Boys High School Kambar during his surprise visit and said that the number of enrolled students must be at least 10,000 in the school.
Speaking on this occasion, he said surplus teachers would be transferred to other needy schools. He also found four female teachers in GovernmentGirlsHigh School in the same town. Pechuho then reached Government Pilot Higher Secondary School Larkana where all 127 teachers were called out and only nine appeared for biometric verification test. Director Secondary Schools Razia Pathan told the secretary: “GSTA has boycotted biometric system and protested against it due to which many teachers have not so far appeared for the same under fear.”
Pechuho warned that if the teachers fail to get themselves verified by August 30, then show-cause notices would be issued to them and their salaries would be stopped. He asked them to tell the teachers to refrain from doing politics.
On the other hand, after hearing the news of secretary’s surprise visits to schools, a number of teachers, mostly ghost ones, arrived in the schools and some of them also kept in contact with journalists to know the programme of their boss.
Meanwhile, the secretary held talks with GSTA leaders in the school. Sikander Kalhoro told the secretary that they did not support ghost or absent teachers, but teachers should be given their rights admissible under rules and their problems must also resolved.
The secretary accepted his demand that promotions of 2012 will be given to the deserving senior male and female teachers for which he directed Razia Pathan to prepare lists and send them to him in Karachi for approval.
Plagiarism is considered a serious form of academic dishonesty and numerous universities around the nation have a zero tolerance policy for it. Some get away with plagiarism while others do not but the best way to submit a paper is to follow steps which ensure that it is a non plagiarized research paper.
