The election tribunal on Friday disqualified Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) National Assembly Member (MNA) Chaudhry Arif for possessing a fake degree.
He was elected an assembly member from NA-144 Okara.
Fayyaz Ahmed Ghauri, an independent candidate, had filed a petition against him and contended that the Arif possessed a fake intermediate certificate.
The hearing of the petition continued for about two years.
The election tribunal in Multan declared Arif disqualified, ordering re-election in NA-144.
