Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued instructions to departments concerned to beef up security arrangements across the province. He said that the present situation demands emergent measures, therefore, the police and law enforcement agencies should perform their duties with commitment and efficiency for foiling the nefarious designs of the enemy.
The chief minister directed Cabinet Committee on Law & Order that all out steps should be taken for the protection of life and property of citizens and a watchful eye be kept on anti-social elements. He said that timely and effective measures are being taken under the National Action Plan (NAP) for rooting out terrorism and efforts in this regard should be continued.
He said that indiscriminate action should be taken over publication and distribution of objectionable literature while the ban on the use of loudspeaker and wall-chalking should be strictly implemented. He said that a watchful eye should be kept on entry and exit points of the province.
