Unknown armed men shot dead two policemen in various localities here on Friday and fled the scene.
Police said that the first incident took place in main Nowshera town where unidentified armed men barged into house of a cop, shot him dead and fled the scene after committing the crime. Another policeman was gunned down by unknown armed men in Akora Khattak.
The bodies of both policemen were shifted to different hospitals in concerned areas where they were handed over to heirs after postmortem.
The police after registering separate cases in both incidents at respective police stations have started the investigation.
