Two killed, nine injured in city violence

Two persons, including a woman, were killed and nine others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

A man, Ramzan, 32, was gunned downed and four others, Khalid, 30, Salman, 25, Muhammad, 30 and Rahmat, 50, were injured by unknown gunmen in Dur Muhammad Lane in Chakiwara area of Lyari. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (OHK) for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.

A woman, Yasmeen, 48, wife of Pervez, was shot dead by unknown armed men in Taiser Town area of Surjani Town. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

Rashid Nasir, 25, and Faiz Mehmood, 18, residents of Bashir Chowk, New Karachi, were injured in firing by dacoits when they offered resistance to them in robbery incident near Power House in Surjani area. They were brought to ASH for treatment.

A youth, Muhammad Irfan, 22, son of Muhammad Husain, was injured by dacoits when he offered resistance to them near Nursey in PECHS. He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.

Another youth, Abdul Qayum, 22, son of Abdul Karim, was shot and injured by unknown gunmen in Street No 1 in Usmanabad, Lyari. He was rushed to CHK for treatment.

Sajid Riaz, 40, son of Muhammad Riaz, was injured by unknown armed men in Block 16 Federal B area. He was taken to ASH for treatment.
