Senior Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Friday stated that Pakistan must remain firm on its stance regarding Kashmir issue.

Talking to a private Pakistani TV channel, Geelani said that India is not serious in resolution of Kashmir dispute.

“Whenever dialogue table is ready, they start making different excuses,” the Hurriyat leader said.

Geelani’s statement comes a day ahead of National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz’s meeting with Kashmiri leaders in New Delhi. Earlier, India advised Pakistan against meeting with Hurriyat leaders.

In reply to a question, Syed Ali Gilani said that Pakistan should strengthen itself internally as that is important to confront India. He said enemies of Pakistan are trying to weakenPakistan through different conspiracies.
