PTI wins 395 seats in KP LG polls

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday announced the official results of the local government elections held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The official results revealed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stood first in the polls as its 395 candidates were elected to the district council. The Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) became runner up with 132 elected candidates.

Similarly, the Awami National Party (ANP) secured third position in the elections with 128 elected candidates, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) followed it with 118 candidates elected to the district councils.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) clinched fourth and fifth positions with 65 and 51 candidates elected to the district council, respectively.
