UAE decides to allot land for temple in Abu Dhabi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE) ended with the government announcing its decision to allot land for building a temple in Abu Dhabi.
Grateful for the landmark decision taken, Modi thanked the UAE leadership.
“A long wait for the Indian community ends. On the occasion of Modi’s visit, UAE government decides to allot land for building a temple in Abu Dhabi,” tweeted external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup.
The UAE is home to 2.6 million Indian workers, out of which around 20 per cent are white-collar professionals, while Indian expatriates comprise 30 per cent of the UAE’s population and are the largest nationality group.
