Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Monday approved yet another reshuffle of portfolios allocated to his ministers, less than a month after Sharjeel Memon was replaced by Nisar Khuhro as the provincial government’s spokesperson.
According to a spokesperson for the chief minister, Information Minister Nisar Khuhro has been given the additional portfolio of the Education and Literacy department. Khuhro previously served as the education minister until the responsibility of the department was handed over to Hazar Khan Bijarani in July.
Murad Ali Shah now also holds charge of the Treasury, Energy, Planning and Development and Irrigation departments.
Meanwhile, Sharjeel Memon has been given the additional charge of Works and Services and the Archives departments.
Tariq Masood Arain, who was sworn in as a provincial minister on Saturday, has been handed the portfolio of katchi abadis and spatial development.
Arain’s placement in the provincial cabinet was made possible after PPP MPA from Lyari Mohammad Jawaid Nagori stepped down from the portfolio.
