Minister annoyed over absence of doctors in govt hospitals

Sindh Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has expressed his anger over absence of senior doctors from government run hospitals and directed Special Secretary Health Riaz Memon to ensure attendance of doctors especially senior doctors including specialists so that the patients should not suffer in government hospitals.

He said this while presiding over a meeting here in his office. He said the complaints were very common that senior doctors did not give proper time to their official duties, rather they more focus on their private hospitals and clinics.

The provincial minister for health said: “Government pays reasonable salaries to the doctors, so it is their prime responsibility to perform their duties honestly.” He said the salaries of LHVs had been on line and their issues were being solved as well. He said the importance and services of LHVs could not be denied and they were fully aware of their problems.
