As many as three citizens were shot dead for offering resistance in difference incident of robbery in Faisalabad and Lahore.
As per details, armed robbers gunned down a youth upon resistance during a robbery attempt in the wee hours of Saturday while the citizens managed to grab one fleeing robber.
Police said that four to six armed robbers barged into a house located in Shahkot area of Faisalabad, took the residents hostage at gunpoint and started looting cash, jewelry and others valuables from the house.
Upon resistance the robbers gunned down a youth. The dwellers chased the robbers fleeing after committing robbery and held one of them while others managed to escape. The citizens gave sound thrashing to the burglar who was later handed over to police.
Meanwhile, at least two people were shot dead upon resistance in separate incidents of robberies in different areas of Lahore city on Saturday.
Police said that armed robbers gunned down two persons at Ravi Road and Iqbal Town localities of Lahore for resisting during robbery incidents.
The bodies of both were shifted to hospital for postmortem and the police after registering separate cases in both incidents at respective police stations started an investigation.
