Rangers raid PPP leader’s residence, arrest gunman

Rangers on Saturday evening raided the residence of Pakistan People’s Party leader Akhtar Hussain Jadoon in Kemari and arrested his gunman.

According to Jadoon’s spokesperson, Rangers have arrested the gunman on suspicion.

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had appointed Jadoon as his special assistant in May this year. He was assigned the portfolio of Local Government.

In the past, he has also served as a provincial minister.

Earlier in the day, Sindh Rangers claimed to have arrested five terrorists of a banned outfit in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority, Gizri and Gurumander areas on Saturday.

According to details, the law enforcement agency conducted raids in the DHA, Gizri and Gurumandar areas of Karachi which resulted in the arrests. A cache of weapons was also recovered from the alleged terrorists.
