Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Justice (r) Wajihuddin Ahmed on Saturday said that mafia had taken over the PTI but it had to leave the party as the party belongs to ideological people.

While talking to media at Karachi airport, he stated that despite his suspension he would continue to work for the party and will fight against the mafia group whereas he has no intention of joining any other party.

He clarified that he had no disagreement with PTI chief Imran Khan. Justice (r) Wajihuddin said the tribunal had already disqualified Pervaiz Khattak, Jahangir Tareen, Nadir Laghari and Aleem Khan but Imran Khan was not ready to separate them from the party. He advised the PTI leadership to reorganise the party and to appoint unbiased supervisors, however, if attention was not given then it would affect Lahore’s local body election.
