Pakistan Army beats Pakistan XI by 6 wickets

Pakistan Army beat Pakistan XI by 6 wickets in the charity cricket match on Friday. Army Chief General Raheel Sharif distributed prizes among the players.

A charity match for the IDPs was held in Rawalpindi. The match was 10-overs per side.

Pakistan XI made 103 runs in its innings. In reply Pakistan Army chased the target by scoring a six on the last ball of the innings. Captain Shahid Afridi made 41 off 21 balls.

Army Chief General Raheel Sharif distribured prizes among the players. Shahid Afridi and Javed Afridi distriubuted cheques worth 2 million rupees each for the IDPs.

Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that nation has given a lot of sacrifices against terrorism. He said that te younger generation are even more patriotic than previous ones.

SHARIF HITS AFRIDI FOR FOUR:

Earlier, the COAS started off the proceedings of the match by hitting a boundary off Pakistan T20 skipper, Shahid Afridi.

For the delivery, Major General Asim Bajwa acted as wicketkeeper at GHQ stadium, Rawalpindi. General Raheel Sharif and Major General Asim Bajwa also met with members of the national cricket team.
