Kasur child abuse case: ten victims to undergo medical examination

A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed by the Punjab government to probe into massive child abuse and extortion scandal in Hussain Wala village of Kasur district has sent ten victims to the district hospital for medical examination.

The five-member JIT comprises Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Abu Bakr Khuda Baksh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khalid Bashir Cheema, DSP Liaquat Ali, and two officers of intelligence agencies.

Several victims along with their family members are recording their statements to the JIT.

Police have also arrested another three suspects including Irfan, Adnan and Ramzan while three other accused are still at large.

On the other hand, during a joint media briefing, the complainants have alleged that police are trying to stop the affected parties from appearing before the joint investigation team. They also demanded transfer of SP investigation Kasur and disposal of cases against the complainants.

Affected families have warned that if police did not change their negative attitude, they will completely boycott the process of recording statements before JIT.
