Disgruntled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Justice (r) Wajihudin Ahmed says though there is no dictatorship in the party, a group of encroachers has been calling the shots in PTI.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, he alleged that party tickets had been sold out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s local bodies election.

He demanded that an organisational structure be setup after removal of all the provincial and federal officer bearers of PTI. He said a free and fair intra-party election was the only way to resolve party issues.

Demanding removal of party leaders facing allegations of corruption, the retired judge said a commission should be formed to address complaints of ideological workers of PTI.

He also called for formation of a task force to implement recommendations put forward by the tribunal, which he headed before being suspended from the party.

Justice Wajih said intra-party election was mandatory to get rid of people with vested interests.

He criticised the huge size of the party’s central executive committee which consists of 69 people, saying it was unprecedented as no other political party was operating in such a manner.
