Sindh Rangers on Friday claimed to have arrested several suspected criminals, including target killers, in a targeted operation in the city’s Landhi-VI area on Thursday night.
According to a Rangers press release, a precise raid was conducted on Thursday night in Landhi-VI on information that wanted criminals were hiding in the area. Those arrested are reportedly activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and include Aqil, in-charge of MQM’s Unit 84. Aqil was arrested for carrying out targeted killings and is said to be a close associate of Saleem Inqlabi and Manzoor Lamba, according to Rangers. Nasiruddin, joint in-charge MQM Unit 84, was arrested over charges of multiple murders and other heinous crimes. Sajid, an active worker of MQM, was arrested on weapons smuggling charges, said the Rangers news release.
Another individual, Ghayas Uddin, who was arrested will be freed because he has no criminal record, said the spokesman.
