  • Rahat Naz thrashes police officer after recording statement with ACE officials

A woman thrashed a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) in Anti-Corruption Establishment Office for deceiving her in the name of marriage on Wednesday.

As per details, DSP Azam Mehr had promised to contract marriage with Rahat Naz, a junior clerk at Gujranwala Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, but he did not keep his promise.

Disappointed over being deceived, Rahat Naz submitted an application to the Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) against the DSP.

Later, the DSP agreed to contract the marriage.

The story took a twist when around 10 days before the marriage, the DSP sent Naz Rs 50,000 for shopping and later got her arrested by the ACE officials on the charges of bribing a police officer.

In order to hear both sides of the story, the ACE authorities summoned both of the parties.

After the completion of the enquiry, Naz attacked DSP and showered slaps and shoes.

The DSP tried to save himself by running into different rooms of the building but in vain.

Later, the ACE officials calmed her down and ensured justice would be served.
