CJP chairs full court meeting of SC

A Full Court meeting of the Supreme Court (SC) judges was held on Tuesday under the Chairmanship of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk.

The full court discussed in detail the requests of Advocates Supreme Court (ASCs) for their registration as Advocates-on-Record (AORs).

The full court after deliberation constituted four members Committee of Judges to examine the applications of ASCs for the registration as AORs, said a press release issued here.

At the end of meeting, the Judges lauded the services rendered by Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk as Chief Justice of Pakistan as well as Judge, Supreme Court of Pakistan who was going to lay down the robes of his office on August 16.

They lauded the professional and legal acumen of the CJ and praised his lordships devotion and dedication for the cause of justice.

The Judges said that he possessed the qualities of politeness, magnanimity, calmness and composure and he was an emblem of constitutionalism.

His successful tenure as CJ of Pakistan will always be remembered in judicial history of Pakistan and he will long be remembered for his judgments.

They also paid deepest regards to the CJ and prayed for his long, healthy, prosperous and productive life after his retirement.

The CJ extended his gratitude to Judges and thanked them.

He said that due to the cooperation, support and contribution of the brother Judges, it became possible for him to advance the cause of justice.

The Full Court meeting was attended by Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Justice Sh. Azmat Saeed, Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rahman, Justice Mushir Alam, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan, Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Maqbool Baqar. Supreme Court of Pakistan Registrar, Syed Tahir Shahbaz, also attended the meeting
