Former MNA Nabeel Gabol on Tuesday filed a petition in the Sindh High Court claiming that he received life threats from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.

In his petition, Gabol stated that Altaf Hussain was angry at him for revealing facts about the MQM. He said the Sindh government would be responsible if anything happened to him as the authorities had withdrawn his security. The ex-MNA said he did not trust police and should be provided Rangers security.

In February, Gabol resigned as member of the National Assembly as well as from the MQM after differences had arisen between him and the party leadership.
