Police did not spare even the handicap protesters demanding for their due rights outside the Sindh Assembly and used baton charging as the dispersing technique.
Expressing anger at the police highhandedness, Home Minister Suhail Anwar Sial called a report over the incident. The special people were demanding to increase their quota in government institutions and to give them rights to become dignified citizens. The police did not pay any attention to the honour of women and pulled special women on the roads and showered batons on them. One woman went unconscious. When the news of police excess was aired, the minister ordered an investigation into the incident.
