Girls outshine boys

The controller of examinations of Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), Muhammad Imran Khan Chishti, on Monday announced the result of Higher Secondary Certificate Part-II (Intermediate) Science annual examination 2015 Pre-Medical group.

Overall 21,142 candidates were registered and 20,855 appeared in the exam. As many as 10,423 candidates passed the exam making 48.98% pass percentage.

Karishma Kumari, daughter of Sono Mal, of DA Degree College for Women Phase VIII, stood first with 90.82percent marks. Rimsha Irfan, daughter of Irfan Ahmed, of Sir Syed Govt Girls College Nazimabad stood second with 89.82 percent, and Hira, daughter of Iqbal Naviwala, of Agha KhanHigherSecondary School grabbed the third position with 89.55percent marks.

The fourth and fifth positions were also claimed by girl students, while a boy Muhammad Anas Siddiqui, son of Muhammad Siddiq, of D J Government Science College took the sixth position.
