CNS announces navy’s one-day ration for flood victims

Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah Sunday visited various rescue sites and relief camps established by Pakistan Navy in the flood affected areas at District Shaheed Benazirabad to review the PN relief efforts being made under Operation Madad.

He was accompanied by Commander Coast Rear Admiral Syed Bashir Ahmad. The naval chief has announced donation of one day’s ration of PN personnel for flood victims.

The announcement came at a time when Pakistan Navy has already embarked upon major flood relief efforts under the operation.

As many as 54 tonnes of relief goods have already been distributed by PN amongst the flood victims. This additional donation will now be distributed amongst the flood victims of far flung areas where the help has not reached so far.

During his visit, the naval chief was given a detailed briefing by commander marines on PN rescue and relief efforts. He was apprised that top priority is being accorded to the relief efforts and all available resources are being utilized to provide necessary assistance to the flood victims.
