Two people suffered heart attack while several others fainted due to heat and humidity as passengers of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-319 from Islamabad to Karachi were literally held hostage by the crew members for over an hour at the Islamabad airport.

According to TV reports, the flight crew turned off the aircraft’s air-conditioning system and its lights as the flight could not take off in time, resulting in chaos on board the aircraft. TV reports did not say why the flight was delayed but the situation got out of hands as several people were made to suffer unnecessarily by the flight crew.
