Three most wanted criminals among 33 arrested

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Sindh police arrested three criminals during a raid in Karachi area of OrangiTown in Thursday’s small hours and recovered firearms from their possession.

According to police, the arrested criminals are wanted in multiple counts of serious crimes including assassinations and armed encounters with police. Springing into action on intelligence report regarding presence of outlaws in OrangiTown’s Faqir Colony, the CTD personnel conducted an operation around midnight and arrested Asif Khan, Aijaz Khan and Nasir Khan.

The security personnel seized Kalashnikovs, repeaters and huge quantity of bullets from their custody. Three terrorists have been shifted to Garden Quarters for interrogations. According to the CTD sources, all three criminals belong to a political party. Police said the manhunt for the criminals had been in progress since long and they were captured on report by a canary.

As many as 30 other suspected criminals were arrested in search operations from Pak Colony, Liaquatabad, Shershah Meera Naka and IttehadTown. Weapons, drugs and stolen motor bikes have also been recovered from their possession. Police said the arrested criminals were wanted in a number of heinous crimes including targeted killings and extortion.
