At least 200 suspicious people, including 26 wanted criminals, have been arrested in different raids carried out on madrassas across the Punjab province.
The raids were carried out in 12 different cities and towns of the province in connection with the National Action Plan (NAP), Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanullah said on Thursday, adding that those who are proven innocent during interrogation would be set free.
He said that hate material was also recovered during the raids carried out in Lahore, Chiniot, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Jhang, Sargodha, Multan, Bhakkar, DG Khan and Attock among other cities.
