‘Beautiful Pakistan’ showcased at RAC

Rawalpindi Arts Council arranged a group painting exhibition entitled “Beautiful Pakistan” in connection with Independence Day celebrations on Wednesday.

The aim of conducting exhibition was to highlight the beauty and splendour of Pakistan. Member Punjab Assembly Lubna Rehan Pirzada accompanied by Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition. Senior and young artists Farzana Rashid, H Gul, Haji Pervaiz, Hameed Falak, Younis Roomi, Abdul Wajah, Fouzia, Zaheer and Shahid showed their art pieces.

About 50 paintings comprising, landscape and heritage, culture, figurate art were depicting not only beauty of Pakistan but also rich heritage of the country. Most of the artists used oil paint while some of them used water colour for the execution of their work.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony, Lubna Rehan Pirzada said that beautiful Pakistan is shown through this rare collection of Rawalpindi Arts Council and congratulated to RAC for conducting the unique and beautiful exhibition. She said that all the artists are unique asset of the country which are presenting positive image of Pakistan.

Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed said that besides senior artists, the work of junior artists has also been included in the exhibition so that they may be provided platform and opportunity to learn more. The exhibition would continue for the next three days.
