A robber was killed while his accomplice managed to flee after an alleged police encounter on Wednesday. A cop was also injured in the crossfire.
The police on route patrol got information that two robbers were engaged in looting the citizens at gunpoint in Pakki Thatthi, locality of Samanabad, in Lahore.
The police reached the scene and tried to arrest the robbers but they started firing which led to an encounter. In the cross fire, one robber was killed while his cohort managed to flee. A policeman was also injured in the firing.
The body of robber and injured cop were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
