The Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) organised a reception in honor of Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim at the Diamond Ground.
Islamabad region member Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) governing board Shakil Sheikh, ICA President Nasir Iqbal, cricketer Sohail Tavir, Imad Wasim were present while Minister for Climate Change Mushahid Ullah Khan was the chief guest at the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion, Imad Wasim said he will perform to the expectations of the PCB and will try his best to make his place in the Test and ODI teams.
Imad Wasim who hit the historic six against Sri Lanka and snatched the win for Pakistan in the Twenty20 said that he will give his 100 per cent in every match. “I have performed in every format of game in domestic cricket and it is up-to selectors to acknowledge my work,” he said.
Minister for Climate Change Mushahid Ullah Khan said it is an honor that a cricketer like Shoaib Akthar was from Rawalpindi and we are also proud to have a player like Imad Wasim among us.
ormal>The police reached the scene and tried to arrest the robbers but they started firing which led to an encounter. In the cross fire, one robber was killed while his cohort managed to flee. A policeman was also injured in the firing.
The body of robber and injured cop were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
