Lyari ganglord Baba Ladla has been gunned down in a shootout with security personnel near the Pak-Iran border in Balochistan, a news channel reported on Thursday.
According to the channel, Baba Ladla and his aides were reportedly trying to cross into Iran on a car when the vehicle was stopped by security personnel for checking. It added that Ladla and his accomplices opened fire on the security personnel leading to an encounter in which the dreaded gangster was killed.
Baba Ladla had gone into hiding when Rangers started an operation in Karachi. However he was still in command of his gang and the government had announced Rs 2.5 million bounty on him.
