Four killed, seven injured in violence

Four people, including a woman, were killed and seven others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Wednesday.

A man, Muzamil, 32, son of Abdur Raheem, was seriously wounded in firing by unknown gunmen at Bengali Para in Ibrahim Haidery, Korangi. He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

In another incident, a man, Shehzad, 22, son of Saleem, was killed and a man, Bilal, 24, son of Younas, injured when unknown armed men opened fire on them near KMC Quarters in Pak Colony, Orangi Town. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.

A woman, Mahreen, 50, wife of Ali Hassan, was shot dead by dacoits when she offered resistance to them during a robbery in Defense Housing Authority. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.

According to rescue sources, the body of a strangulated man, aged about 40, was recovered from Korangi Crossing area. It was shifted to JPMC for a postmortem. A youth, Jahangir, 20, was shot at and injured by unknown gunmen in New Karachi. He was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. Another youth, Yousaf, 21, son of Muhammad Rao Khan, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men in Qasba Colony, Orangi Town. A man, Majeed, 25, son of Moulana Arif, sustained injuries in firing by unknown armed men in Mehran Town, Korangi area.

In another incident, two boys, Kamran, 17, son of Murad Baksh, and Kamran, 19, son of Ayub, were shot at and injured by unknown gunmen on Mauripur Road. They were shifted to CHK for treatment.

A man, Akber, 30, son of Gul Hassain, was shot at and injured by unknown gunmen near Allah Wali Masjid in Baldia Town. He was rushed to CHK for treatment.
