Once considered as the frontline soldiers of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), traders throughout the country are determined to get their strike against withholding tax on bank transactions successful on August 5.
All Pakistan Traders Association (Khalid Pervez Group), All Pakistan Traders Association Lahore and National Traders Association have endorsed Wednesday’s strike call. However, the PML-N Traders’ Wing has not yet come up with a clear policy as they are hopeful that a positive solution will be reached through talks.
All Pakistan Goods Transporters and Middlemen Association have also announced support for the strike.
