Pakistan Rangers are determined to eliminate terrorism, repel cross border aggression and make country’s defence invincible, said Punjab Rangers Director General Major General Umar Farooq Burki said while speaking at a passing out parade on Monday.
On the occasion, troops carried out mock exercise, displaying their skills to fight terrorists.
The major general said the Rangers do have a key role and sacrifices rendered by its soldiers would be carved in history with golden words. He said soldiers who are undergoing training will have to work hard and perform extraordinarily to counter the menace of terrorism.
He said that the Rangers have a vital role in maintaining security of the country.
The DG reviewed the parade at the centre. The Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) displayed its skills and operated live fire. The personnel showed skills regarding emergency response, crossing hurdles, climbing high buildings, rescue operations and other activities.
General Burki lauded the performances of the troops. He said that Rangers personnel are ready round the clock to counter terrorism. Prizes were also distributed among all 77 passing out cadets.
