Punjab CM, Chinese industrialists discuss bilateral ties

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited the Chinese industrialists to setup an auto manufacturing unit in Punjab, for which the government will extend every possible cooperation in this regard.

He was talking to Bayinchaolu, member of Central Committee of Communist Party, on Monday.

Matters regarding initiatives to boost cooperation between Punjab and Chinese province Jilin in various sectors were discussed in the meeting.

The chief minister lauded the $43 billion Chinese investment while terming it a great gift for Pakistan from the Chinese president which the people of Pakistan will never forget.

Shehbaz said the CPEC will not only have a positive impact on Pakistan but rather on the entire region.

The chief minister added that the orange line metro service in Lahore is another project being made possible with Chinese cooperation and will be completed on time.

The chief minister also stated that students from Pakistan may be sent to Jilin province for training in different fields including engineering.
