Sindh minister shares details of local bodies polls with governor

Sindh Minister for Local Bodies, Syed Nasir Hussein Shah called on Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad on Monday and apprised him of measures being adopted for municipality elections in the province.

He shared with the Sindh Governor details about the steps taken to comply with orders from the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding transparent local bodies polls across the province.

Syed Nasir Hussein Shah informed him about ongoing development work and arrangements made to handle floods and consequent situations in the province.

The governor urged the minister to expedite and also improve arrangements being made for much awaited local bodies elections and also drew attention towards the need for improving environmental conditions in Karachi.

Later Additional Inspector General of Police, Karachi visited the governor and briefed him about the ongoing operation against criminals, as well as security situation in the province.

Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said indiscriminate action, in accordance to law, must be taken against criminals and terrorists.

He advised the police officers not to succumb to any pressure, whatsoever, in realising their professional responsibilities.
