Chief Election Commissioner Pakistan (CEC) Sardar Raza on Saturday absolved all the commission members of their administrative authorities, reported Dunya News.
According to the channel, the CEC has absolved all the provincial chiefs of the provincial election commissions of the administrative authorities, keeping with him all the authorities including appointments and transfers. The commission members will only have the right to voice their opinion in judicial matters.
The channel reported that the commission members were not consulted on the recent appointments of high officials. ECP members have expressed concerns over the developments.
