Turkish President Erdogan visiting Pakistan today


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be stopping over at Islamabad on his way back from Indonesia on Saturday, the Foreign Office said in a statement.

The FO statement said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will hold a meeting with the Turkish president during the short stopover in the federal capital. The two leaders would hold discussions on enhancement of bilateral relations, and global and international issues of mutual interest.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan had earlier visited Lahore and Islamabad in December 2013 as the prime minister of the Republic of Turkey. This would be his first visit to Islamabad as the president of Turkey.
