Fazl and Altaf resolve not to withdraw anti-PTI motions

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday expressed their resolve not to withdraw their resolutions moved in the National Assembly seeking the deseating of members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a news channel reported.

According to the channel, Fazl and Altaf spoke on the telephone on Thursday evening and were in agreement that their resolutions were in accordance with the law and constitution, therefore PTI lawmakers have no right to sit in the parliament.

According to the channel, MQM’s Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui had informed Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid and Khawaja Saad Rafique about the party’s decision whereas the JUI-F was yet to formally inform the government about its stance on the issue.
