A civil local court on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of actress Meera for not appearing before the court.
A civil judge in Cantonment court was hearing the case.
Meera’s alleged husband, Ateequr Rehman, said that the actress married someone else while she was still married to him. He urged the court to initiate legal proceedings against her.
Earlier, the court had issued several notices to the actress but she failed to appear before the court.
The court then issued bailable arrest warrant and yet, none from her side appeared before the court.
During the hearing on Friday, the court issued non-bailable arrest warrant and ordered authorities concerned to present her before court on September 17.
