Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Managing Director Khalid Majeed held a meeting with the administration of Turkish contractor companies, Albayrak and Ozpak, and instructed them to ensure clearance of waste heaps from all open plots (estimated 2200 sites) across the city especially in the less developed and neglected localities.
In the meeting especially scheduled in the wake of dengue season, he emphasised the companies to take concrete measures in the form of strategic line of action to cope with citizens’ tendency to dispose of waste openly and to hold awareness activities on massive level especially in educational institutions and public recreational places.
