Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik on Monday formed a full bench for the hearing of the case against installation of coal power plant in urban areas.
A single bench of the LHC had already issued a stay order on power plant’s installation and proposed a full bench for the case hearing.
The LHC Chief Justice formed a three-member full bench which includes Justice Faisal Zaman and Justice Shahid Kareem whereas it is headed by Justice Mamoonur Rasheed.
The full bench will initiate the hearing of the petitions from today (Tuesday).
More than 15 petitions have challenged the step of setting up coal power plants in urban areas.
