MQM inducts four new members in Karachi Rabita Committee

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has inducted four new members in the party’s Rabita Committee.
“Dr A Qadir Khanzada, Advocate Gulfaraz Khattak, Aslam Shah Afridi and former zonal in-charge Shabbir Qaim Khani have been inducted in the Rabita Committee,” an MQM press release stated.
The appointment of the new members came two days after MQM chief Altaf Hussain suspended the entire Karachi Rabita (coordination) Committee of the MQM except three members. Altaf suspended the committee saying the body had been unable to effectively perform its responsibilities despite several assurances.
Kaiful Warah, Abdul Haseeb and Arif Khan Advocate had been spared, while the rest of the committee were told not to bother visiting party headquarters Nine Zero.
Altaf said in a statement that a decision on the party’s corresponding policymaking body in London was expected in a day or two. However, no decision has been made as yet.
