Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed the authorities to speed up the relief activities in the flood-hit areas of Southern Punjab.
Addressing the Provincial Cabinet Committee for Flood, he said that there must be sufficient reserves of edible items and mineral water at all relief camps.
The chief minister said that no affectee should face any problem in the relief camps.
Shahbaz said he was personally monitoring the rescue and relief operation. He said no negligence in rescue and relief work will be tolerated. He said that all the protective measures must had been completed before the onset of monsoon.
