The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Saturday demanded resignation from all four members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
According to the media reports, PPP Secretary Information Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the demand of resignation from ECP members is justified.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said that ECP members should exhibit morality by willingly stepping down. He said the Election Commission completely failed to stop rigging in the general election 2013.
He further stated that Election Commission comprises four members and Chief Election Commissioner, adding that the whole responsibility of conducting free and fair election was of the commission and therefore the demand of resignation is justified.
