The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has approached the Finance Division to reauthorise and release Rs 5 billion from lapsed funds to make payments to contractors of the Metro Bus Project.
According a source in the RDA, the civic agency has written a letter to the Finance Ministry to reauthorise the funds, which were not consumed by June 30, of the Metro Bus Project.
The source said that the RDA was expecting that the lapsed and unutilised funds will be released in the first week of August.
