At least four people were injured when a clash broke out between workers of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Gujranwala district on Friday evening.

The clash took place in Sadhooki area of Gujranwala.

Tension began when a PML-N rally passed from an area, where PTI was holding its gathering.

Both sides pelted each others with stones, leaving four people injured.

Reacting to the clash, PTI leader Umar Sarfraz Cheema said that PML-N’s goons attacked the PTI gathering first in Gujranwala.

“Our candidate office was ransacked with the help of local administration,” he said. “One of our workers lost his eye,” he added.
