Punjab School Education Secretary Abdul Jabbar Shaheen has ordered to regularise 50,000 educators recruited across the Punjab between 2011 and 2012.
A source in the Rawalpindi education department said that the secretary has also sought a compliance report from all education officers of 36 districts of the province.
Meanwhile, teachers have hailed the move saying they had been demanding for regularisation for a long time. They said that the regularisation order will give an impetus for efficiency and provide encouragement to teachers to show good performance.
The teachers including Allah Baksh Qasier, Aslam Gujar and Shafiq Bowaliya and other said that they welcome the regularisation order and hoped that the teachers will try their best to deliver to the best of their capabilities.
