ATC grants bail to MQM’s Rauf Siddique

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday approved bail of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Rauf Siddique in the case registered against him in Sukhan police station in connection with provocative speech of MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

Siddique, accompanied by Barrister Saif, reached the court and filed a bail plea. Siddique’ counsel presented arguments for his client’s bail. The court accepted the bail plea, however, it ordered Siddique to participate in ongoing investigation in local police station. The court ordered Siddique to appear in police station before August 3.

Earlier, Muhammad Bakhsh, a resident of Bhens Colony, had filed a case against Siddique in Sukhan Police Station. He had accused Siddique of being a part of MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s provocative speech on July 22 by making arrangements.

ATC SENDS 2 SUSPECTS OF SAFOORA CARNAGE ON REMAND

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi on Saturday sent two suspects of Safoora carnage on 14-day physical remand in police custody.

The suspects Nasir and Azhar were produced before the court amid tight security. They were summoned by the ATC on the plea of police.

Investigating officer requested the court to grant physical remand of the suspects for interrogation. The court accepted the request and remanded the suspects to police custody for 14 days.
