The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee has raised questions on Imran Khan’s character in the light of Judicial Commission’s report nullifying Khan’s allegations of pre-planned rigging during the 2013 general elections.

MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the Judicial Commission report had ruled out pre-planned rigging and now the people of Pakistan reserved the right to question Imran Khan about his allegations.

Without naming the leader, Siddiqui hinted that Khan was a risk for democracy in Pakistan. Imran Khan as an individual had a questionable past, he added. MQM’s MNA Kunwar Naveed Jameel added that he had written to the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding a ruling of an American court against Imran Khan in a paternity suit.

He said Imran Khan did not face the suit and returned to Pakistan, so the court had to rule against him in his absence. He pointed out that the courts did not rule against Pervez Musharraf but he wasn’t allowed to contest elections. He asked the election commission to prove that it was neutral and impartial. He pointed out that Imran Khan had a ruling against him by a Los Angeles court.
